Credentialing
First-rate patient care involves unquestioned patient
confidence in your clinicians. MedHQ compiles credentials
information on clinical staff based upon requirements from Joint
Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the
National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and the Utilization
Review Accreditation Committee (URAC). Or we can customize the
credentialing criteria based on your facilitys specific need.
Among the credentialing components MedHQ reviews and confirms
include:
- Current and valid license to practice medicine
- Graduation from medical school or the professional equivalent
- Possession of malpractice insurance
- Current DEA and CDS certificates
- Medicare and/or Medicaid sanctions
- Claims and/or sanctions reports in the National Practitioner
Data Bank (NPDB)
- Place of residence
- Employment history
- Designated hospital privileges
- Pending malpractice and/or civil actions
- Valid drivers license and driving record
- Arrest/conviction records
